They are Baack!!!

Cortney and Ashley made it back safely, with smiles on their faces, sore muscles and renewed spirits. (I would have taken a picture but lives were threatened: Mine and my camera's) They walked and walked and walked, just like the song says. Cortney had two exchange students in her family, who are from Australia and are staying with a family in our stake for three weeks. They are not LDS, but they wanted to go on the trek. They had a great time and mentioned they admired our faith for our strong convictions and beliefs. They also said this was a great part of their 'American' experience. Cortney loved being with them.

Ashley had a great time, but she mostly talked about the boys and how much fun they were. (Then again, when is she not talking about boys) In fact, one of her 'brothers' was ran over by the handcart. They say he should have broken a leg or two, but he stood up, limped a little, and then continued on. Very cool!!! Both the girls loved the women's pull, and the boys reactions and desire to help. They were touched by the concern and (love) they had for their sisters and the hardships they were going through. (You gotta use the word love carefully. If not, rumors about who loves who start and then , oh my gosh, DRAMA!!!)

And I forgot with all that is going on around here that I did not mention Zach's birthday. He made it to the big double digit. Yep, he is 10 years old. He turned 10 on December 28th and he shares a birthday with his Uncle Jeff. Jeff is the COOL uncle so this is really neat!!!
Here are a few pics:
