Four days and counting until our 5 stake dance, which is being referred to as Mormon Prom. This is the first time our area has done something this big. My cousins in Texas have done it a few years back and they loved it! When Cort went to prom last year she said the dancing made her blush (gushing mother so proud) and the dress styles made even her uncomfortable (even prouder) .
This dance will show the kids that you can dress modestly and have a great time doing it.
And yes, I do sound like a Young Women leader. My Beehives are probably thinking it's about time!
Our stake center is where the event will be held and I have heard it is going to be fabulous. (I wonder if they have an area where moms can press their noses against the glass and spy on their little loved ones. They could make so much money just in that alone!)
The theme is A Night in Paris.
Everything is free.
The pictures are free.
The wards are even planning on dinner beforehand for those who are attending. And even those who have no dates who dream of the whole cinderella theme (minus the rats, of course) are invited to attend. It should be quite the night!
Cortney is going with Josh. They have been dating for a while now. Ashley is going with Mackay, one of her best friends. Luckily Britt is only 13 so she has to wait!
Thank goodness!
Three in Young Womens is one thing but to have three dating at the same time would be too much for this mom to handle!
