Graduation night was very eventful. It rained, definitely for the first time in 25 years. Many ceremonies were held outside and this caused many problems. At Mesa High, they had to divide them into groups of three and take them inside. The graduating class was too big for even the gym. Cortney was going to sing at Graduation but all musical performances were canceled. The graduates could only bring two guests. That was hard for a lot of families who are used to bringing many, many more.

Now I cannot forget to mention the grad party at Sunsplash. What an event. The rain continued throughout most of the night, finally ending at 1AM. Most of the kids staying in a small area in the pool because the water was warmer than the weather. (The high the next day was 70*, a definite first for Phoenix.) Travis and I looked like dorks in our rain ponchos, and we still came home soaking wet. Half of the kids did not show up in the first place. It was a very weird weather experience.
