The last part of our trip was spent in Salt Lake, visiting with my brothers and touring the sites. We ran into the receptionist at the kids' dentist in Temple Square (actually, she was called to a mission there and Mackenzie thinks she is 'better than Barbie' so we had to stop by and say hi!). The grounds get more and more beautiful every time we go up.
And, of course, we had to go to Lagoon. After all, the closest amusement park our direction is Six Flags Magic Mountain in LA. We had a great time...except for the fact half of the party is afraid of heights, half don't like water, and the rest don't like scary rides.
This was just right for Britt. Not too high and not too slow. She took a look at the other swing ride and turned a ghostly white!
Joey wanted to go hi but Kenzie wanted to stay low. Guess who won?
Everyone loved Rattlesnake Rapids, except for Mackenzie. she had more fun watching us get wet.
My favorite ride will forever and always be the old wooden rollercoaster. Still the best ride EVER!!!!
We spent the next day in Logan. We wanted the uncles to come along but the only day they both could go was when campus was pretty much closed up (except for EFY). But we had a great time.
Joey played the elevator game... which I really hate. You know, the one where you push every button on the panel....and stop at every floor. It's a great way to spend 10 minutes when you are in a hurry!
The first two floors were not that bad. The rest took a lot more patince, but Joey loved every minute of it!
We found Cortney's dorm room, toured campus without actually going in very many buildings, and then stopped for ice cream. I have discovered you don't go to USU unless you stop at the creamery for ice cream (or squeaky cheese. Kids really loved that.)
Stopping to chat after the ice cream
This is for my mom. See???
Even Drew had a great time! Holding hands with Ashley is a very popular thing to do....
All in all, it was a nice day, although poor Cortney was even more overwhelmed when we went back to Salt Lake. She is doing so much better now, although now there is a whole new set of worries for this mom. But another story for another day.
