Every year during in the springtime, the Arizona Easter pageant is the highlight of the season. Families bond together as they attend the event and some who are really lucky actually get to be in the pageant themselves. The actors are all volunteers and if you are lucky, you might come across a few people you know. (And my girls say there is more than one cute face out there that catches their attention!) The weather is perfect (even great cuddling weather) and peace permeates the area. (except for a few loud yells from the heckling section across the street, but we just ignore them)

My favorite part is the end when Jesus ascends into heaven with the crowd watching. It sends chills through me. (That is the Spirit bearing witness, although I do get chills thinking of that man being so high up)

We hosted a ward from Luna, New Mexico this year and they came with us for our Youth Conference. Everyone was so nice and we had a great time getting to know new people. And the pageant just made the event even more special than usual.
If you have not seen it already, it is so worth the traffic and the large crowds and the crazy people!
